Priyanka Chopra kept waiting for an hour to cast her vote
Going by her swashbuckling innings at the Box Office, Priyanka Chopra might be a household name but the election commission seems to be oblivious of her superstardom.

Waiting in queue for over an hour, the sizzler had a tough time casting her precious vote during the assembly elections recently held in Mumbai. And that’s not all. Her secretary Chand Mishra was put behind the bars after he forcefully entered the polling booth in an attempt to get the actress a faster access.

The actress, who like a dutiful citizen had gone to the polling booth along with her brother, was left clueless when the authorities could not find her name in the list.

Confirming the news a daily quoted a source as saying, “Elections officials had kept Piggy Chops waiting for nearly 45 minutes before she was allowed to cast her vote. They couldn`t find her name on the list, though they finally did after a long search and let her vote”.

Quick to talk about her experience the dusky belle Tweeted, “Me and my brother!!! We just voted!! Exercise ur right!!”

And Piggy Chops wasn’t the sole conscious celeb voter, actor John Abraham, lyricist Javed Akhtar and his actress wife Shabana Azmi were among the leading stars who practiced their right during the Assembly elections.
